The ageing of Australia’s population will call for the provision of aged care services to much larger numbers of people over the next few decades. This study analyses major trends in demand and supply over the next 40 years. It draws some implications for the future structure and mix of aged care services and identifies prospective directions for reform.
Microsoft can release Windows Seven as early as June 2009

Microsoft Corp. may make a sudden move and release its new operating system Windows Seven is already the summer of 2009. Officially, it should go no earlier than January 2010. According to the site Internet News, Microsoft outlined the release of Windows Seven on 3 June 2009.
Bailout $700 billion dollar figure was guestimated!

As if news of the bailout failing is not dismal enough, I have come to find out that the bailout's proposed by out figure of $700 billion dollars was not based on any specific data point. In fact a treasury spokesman said:

Remember all that talk about tax cuts stimulating the economy and letting the market work and trickle down blah, blah, blah? None of it worked. After Bush’s first full business day in office on January 22, 2001, the Dow closed at 10,587.59. Nearly eight years on, the Dow closed today (September 29, 2008) at 10,365.45, 222.14 points below where it was when Bush took charge. So far, no mention of this by Bush's "business news" guy, Neil Cavuto.
RapidRide update: Two questions answered

With thousands of new West Seattleites on the way, the forthcoming Metro RapidRide line (the “C” Line) to West Seattle gets mentioned a lot in development and transportation meetings. Between those meetings, though, a few questions keep surfacing. For one, in a few of those meetings, we’ve heard the year 2010 mentioned for RR’s start, rather than 2011. For two, some have wondered if the plan was still on to have the RR line end at Westwood Village, rather than Fauntleroy or even Morgan Junction
